Guías CeCAP para la Designación de Árbitros
🌍 Internationally, arbitration institutions promote a series of recommendations for the appointment of arbitrators, published as soft law documents or incorporated into rules. These recommendations allow for the adoption of uniform practices when appointing an arbitrator by the parties, the co-arbitrators, or the institutions themselves, as appropriate.
📣 In this context, the Panama Center for Conciliation and Arbitration (CeCAP) carried out the launch of the CeCAP Guides for the Designation of Arbitros, on June 5th at 4:00 p.m., in the Horacio Alfaro Room of the Panama Chamber of Commerce.
📘The CeCAP Guidelines for the Appointment of Arbitrators establish a series of standards aimed at promoting the independence, impartiality, quality, and excellence of arbitrators serving in arbitration proceedings administered by this institution, as well as those on the list. They also include regulations regarding the composition of the list of arbitrators. The Guidelines will take effect upon their presentation.
